It’s disappointing, but it’s not really “unfair”. I mean, it’s their website. Letting us use it for free is a privilage itself, giving us free stardollars is even more of a gift. They need money to keep the website up, that’s why they have Superstars. Do you think all of the people who help the website (Writers, graphics designers, etc.) work for free? They have to feed their families. They need some sort of income to pay all the employees at Stardoll. So they made Superstars, and gave them special privilages to entice everyone to become Superstars.
It’s completely fair when you think about it. If you worked at a coffe shop and all of the customers demanded you make and bring them coffee for free because they want it, and it’s not fair that you have to pay for it, what would you think? All I’m saying is that, sure, it’s a little saddening that we no longer get a stardollar a day, but it’s their decision to make, it’s fair.
Think about that for a bit.
Yes but if they really want to have a site like that with many people if they have the wish they would make it without wanting money!!! like if someone ask you to help him and you agree because you like to help would you want money then???
And how money they want??? MORE AND MORE…how they worked before with that money but why now the money are not enought? Because they are greedy!!!

Even if i’m a bit disappointed with whole that situation..Youre the first person who exprest what i really think.
I mean..creating a website like Stardoll cost a lot of work, and a lot of money..and if you think they are doing it just for our pleasure..youre wrong! Money are main reason they have created Stardoll! And now they just need more money, i don’t know..maybe they had to hired more people, or they need more servers since we’ve reached 40 million members..or maybe they are just getting greedy.
Anyway whatever that reason is, now either we deal with it and stay anyway or leave, or we’ll try to do something about that. But we have to do one or another, otherwise we’ll stuck here upset and confused for always!
Thank you *7caroline7* you make a very good point while i’m sad about it just think last year when i started we had no play and earn and no 1 sd just money when we got enough starpoints.

stardoll is sooo greedy! Why don’t they reduce the 5sd down to 4? The buttons where stardoll advertise to become a superstar are getting bigger and bigger.
They say, they want user to save their money and on Stardoll user could learn this perfectly, and Stardoll would teach the value of money through stardollars… bla bla bla. On Stardoll there are many users who are only just 6 to 12 years old! They spend all their pocket money on Stardoll, save their money to buy real brands for example and Stardoll is getting more expensive step by step, so the kids get less for more money and they have to see all the beautiful things they can’t buy despite the fact that they saved their money. This is so unfair and so typical economic. Stardoll is just a liar! All they want is to get all your money and your parents’ money, friends’ and so on. Never mind what Stardoll says, they don’t care that you save your money or know the value of it! Ladies and Gentlemen: Money talks! Without money, you’re worthless. It seems that Stardoll thinks, children should learn this as soon as possible. =(

There are some people out there lying, making it seem like it’s us who are crazy, but the campaign has actually ended.
A few people are glitching and still getting their 1sd a day, but for all users the campaign is supposed to have ended, which is has for the most of us.
Be happy with your good glitch, but it’d be great if you still helped out the rest of us.

A lot of people can’t just afford a superstar membership. Others simply choose not to pay real money for online things – that’s my case. I think that spending real money in an online game is just a wast of money! But this is my opinion, I’m not against those who buy it.
The one stardollar per day campaign was just enough for me to be able to buy things and be able to save money for other items! I didn’t ask for more!

I read like all the comments and now I am going to say something too.
I think we should all just join one club first of all, because otherwise everyone is in a different club and stardoll is not going to acknowledge the huge amount of people.
Second: i think everybody should dress up with a tear on their face, to show their protest and tell every single friend they have about it, put stuff on their presentation, make club Topics, and so on.
Third:
I am sure Stardoll has thought about the consequences for Non suoerstars. I think it is extremly stupid and I recently thought about maybe buying my first Superstar membership on my own, but through this… I absolutly won’t, because it has shown to me how greedy and expensive Stardoll got.
When I first joined I bought a Top, jeans and a jacket. All No superstar Items. When I was Superstar ( I was a writer for the Magazine once) I got bids for those clothes, because they are really pretty. The bids were about 30 $ each and I bought them for 5 and 4 $.
Then there are all thise new expensive shops like LE, Antidote, Tingeling and even normal clothing got really expensive.
Non superstars can’t buy at the Sale anymore. When I joined I could, but we did not have the 1sd per day yet.
We got Stardollars as Starpoint rewards.
Did anyone ask if we get those again at least ?
And does anyone know how much longer the Play and Earn thing goes ?!

They are just being greedy, one stardoll is not too much to ask for in a virtual game, I think it keeps the non-ss members returning to the site – stardoll isnt going to be fun if a lot of non-ss leave

Stardoll is rising prices for all users, they took away 1sd also from SS members, and if theyre going to take away play & earn they’ll take it away from all of us.

1 SD I think is equal to 5 cents, and 5 SDs is equal to 25 cents. If you multiply .25 by 4,000,000 it’s $1,000,000. So they gave everyone the chance to earn 6 SDs per day which cost them $1,000,000. Think about it. They have employes, who have to maintain the site, servers, graphics … They need salaries. They get salaries from people who buy SuperStar memberships and from people who advertise on the site.
On the other hand …
Stardoll is getting extremely greedy. When you do buy SuperStar now, it costs more to get less than you used to. $5 in real life, gets you 100 SDs. I think you used to get 200 or 150. You also used to get all 12 rooms instead of 4. The prices on items in Starplaza and Suite Shop are increasing dramatically. Dresses used to be around 6,7,8 … now they are 14,15,16,17,18, 19, 20 and beyond! The new clothing is becoming ridiculously expensive!!! And the majority of it is not even good quality! Non- SuperStars as new members only get 1 room, 45 free SDs and the 5 SDs expiring Play and Earn. You used to be able to have 4 rooms, 25 free SDs, the 1 SD a day and perhaps the 5 from Play and Earn. Maybe it’s because they give you so much more than they used to as a new member. You get all that furniture and clothing and the option to get 5 free SDs. But, yet again, as many people stated, the 1 SD per day allowed people to save up their money to purchase items that cost more than 5 SDs. I had a Non-SuperStar account to see how I could manage and being able to save helped a lot. Now, people do not have this option. Stardoll is not fun anymore. I used to be on constantly, and not I barely check on. My SuperStar membership expired and my parents wouldn’t let me renew because I’ve spent a large amount on it already, and I don’t want to. Maybe Stardoll will improve itself. Like come up with new features that make up for this. Before whenever I had problems, it was because usually they were doing something to it. Or it was just because they stink. I know I’ve rambled on, but I’m quite upset over this. I’m WhiteOrchidGirl on Stardoll just to let you know.

You’re probably right!
Amount of members is increasing so fast that they can’t keep up! And if they won’t reduce it somehow, we’ll all have more problems with site and more glitches (like we wouldn’t have enough allredy:). So i guess Stardoll took geting rid of non SS members as the best way.
However it’s sad or cruel, we have to take it as a fact, and find better way to convince them to bring 1sd back. Cause threatening them that many non SS will leave isn’t helping since that’s exactly what they want:(

While I do agree with you, *7caroline*7, I also disagree. Sure they obviously have to make an income, and they do spend alot of time and money on the website to hire people. What do you think they created “superstars” for? Stardoll has over 40 million members, and many of them, are all superstars. That means they get at least 10 REAL dollars MINIMUM from EACH user EVERY month. That would quite clearly give them a very satisfactory income! As well as now they are increasing the price of clothes and furniture in the Starplaza and Suiteshop, decreasing the amount that stardolls are worth (example: 200 stardollars used to last me the whole month, now I could only buy half a collection of clothes for that.) Now they have even dared to take away 1 stardollar a day!? and made it clear they will soon be taking away “play ‘n’ earn”? Sure, it’s not unfair, but they should be considering what it’s doing to the economy. Stardoll users worldwide spend up to 500 REAL dollars! Personally, I spend 50 REAL dollars a month on my stardoll account, and that, I think, is much more then I should be spending. I will never stop using my stardoll account, or even use that as a threat to stardoll, but I have today, decided, I am not giving stardoll anymore money. Yes, I am quitting superstar.
I think we should all keep pushing for what we want, which is not for them to put back one stardollar-a-day. It is to lower there prices! They need to DRASTICALLY lower their prices, from what’s in the suite shop, starplaza, and how much it costs to be “superstar”. If they gave us DECENT prices for this, I would be happy to pay stardoll money for me to be superstar, because I know they would need it.

I know the world is in an economic crisis. But does that mean us girls on Stardoll must have it too? If the one stardollar per day was just a campaign, how do you think girls are going to save up? It makes no sense. People will be stuck on 0 stardollars. The Play & Earn campaign only gives you 5 stardollars but you can’t save them up. You must spend them the same day; and since almost everything is WAY over 5 stardollars, it’s no use. I used to find this website educative and the most important thing; FUN, but I get the impression now that Stardoll doesn’t care about the needs and wishes of the customers. How disappointing all of this.
Maybe someone should send a link to this page to Stardoll doll and be like… Need I say anymore?

I can understand if for any technical issues this has been stopped, but I am just concerned if it has not been identified by you yet.

There’s a protest going on: wear black clothes, put a tear drop on your cheek and try your best to refrain from buying in the Starplaza.
It’s not only the 1-sd-a-day issue. I am superstar. So I pay for a service. And consumer rules applying to any service apply to Stardoll too and those rules can’t be changed unilaterally anytime. I understand their core business, I understand their marketing strategies which I won’t reproduce cause they are all already above. But have you considered how much money they make? There are more than 42 million members. Suppose just 10% are superstars (I think there might be more, tho) for 5.95US$ a month, that means over 24 million dollars a month, IN REAL MONEY!!! And you will tell me they can’t maintain the 1SD FAKE MONEY campaign? Or the Play & Earn FAKE 5SD? PLEAASEEEE!!! Plus: rules are not clear, so they can change them anytime they want. Where are the rules applying to the game? Where does it say what items can you buy and then sell and which can’t (like the LPS toys of the last days I bought for my daughter and now can’t pass to her account, or the over 1000sd LE that can’t be sold which was my first LE in the site?) And the 5sd broadcast charge and the 1sd sale fee?? If you want to sell something better overprice it and risk not selling it than sell it for no profit whatsoever!!
They give superstars 200sd a month and yet one single dress costs over 50sd (Tingeling Halloween Couture)??
They’ve also lowered the amount of sd you can buy with real money, e.g., US$24.95 used to get you 1200sd now only 1000sd.
The point in here is that we buy buy buy not clothes or interior but superstar or extra sd for REAL MONEY. But they are going over the edge in their pursue of this goal. I’ve seen many members saying they won’t renew their superstar.
Join the protest, wear black and the tear drop (costs 1sd in Splendid) and try your best to refrain from buying. Maybe they finally listen to us.

IT was fun when there was 1 stardollar a day.. its just no fun anymore because of the fact that the superstars get their “weekly” stardollars, and now that we don’t even get a chance to get 1 stardollar a day is pathetic. I thought in my opinion, that the 1 stardollar a day for logging in was a great way for “non- superstars” to buy stuff they want without running low on stardollars, but the fact that they removed it, just ruins stardoll now.. I feel like I just burnt over 100$ to be a superstar for more then a year, & if I could only change back the time I would want all my moneyy back.. I quit stardoll.. Who wants my account? (: JAYYKAYY
